Teorema: Seja $f : U \suset \mathbb{R}^n \rightarrow \mathbb{R}^n, p \in U$ onde $U$ é aberto. Então $f$ é diferenciável em $p$ se somente se $f_i = \pi_i \circ f$ é diferenciável  para todo $i=1, \cdots, m.$ Lembrando que $\pi_i : \mathbb{R}^m \rightarrow \mathbb{R}$ é a projeção na $i$'ésima coordenada.

Demosntração: Se $f$ for diferenciável então pela regra da cadeia $f_i = \pi_i \circ f$ é diferenciável, pois $\pi_i$ é linear e portanto diferenciável e inclusive $D \pi_i = \pi_i.$ Portanto 
$$
 (Df_i)_p = \pi_i \circ Df_{p}.
$$

Por outro lado se todo $f_i$ é diferenciável usamos a definição e concluímos que 
$$
 f_i (p+v) = f_i(p) + A_i(v) + R_i(v)
$$ onde $R_i$ é sublinear. Assim podemos concluir que 
$$
 f(p+v) = (f_1(p)+ A_1(v) + R_1(v), \cdots, f_m(p) + A_m(v) + R_m(v))
$$
e é fácil ver que $(R_1(v), \cdots , R_m(v))$ é sublinear e portanto $Df_p(v) = A_1(v) e_1 + \cdots + A_m(v)e_m$ é a derivada na $f$ no ponto $p.$
Teorema Valor médio:

Seja $f : U \subset \mathbb{R}^n \rightarrow \mathbb{R}^m$ diferenciável em aberto $U$ e $p, q \in U$ tais que $[p, q]$ (o segmento que junta $p$ ao $p$ que pode ser parametrizado por $\sigma(t) = t p + (1-t) (q-p$) esteja dentro do $U$ então:

$$
 |f(q)-f(p)| \leq M |q -p|
$$ onde $M = sup_{x \in [p, q]} \|Df_x\|.$
