I am an Associate Professor and researcher of the Software Engineering group at ICMC-USP, São Carlos - SP, Brazil. My department is SSC (Software Systems Computing). My doctoral research was in the area of frameworks and pattern languages (download my thesis here (in Portuguese only)). At present, my research areas are: software reuse (with focus on software product lines, service-oriented architectures, and model-driven development), system of systems and software quality. I am one of the promoters of the SugarloafPLoP Conferences, for which I was the Program co-chair in 2002, 2012 and 2016, and General chair in 2005.
