• VisTree is provided in a single zip file. Just uncompress it and run VisualizationProj.exe.
• Make sure that your machine locale complies with the sample datasets (coma or dot separated files).
• Some sample data files are provided, they are very simple text files, very easy to create and edit.
• Functionalities are achieved by right click popup menus. For the list of options, try clicking either on the visualization workspaces or on the white background environment.

Interaction

The Visualization Tree is provided with five visualization techniques, Parallel Coordinates, Scatter Plots, Star Coordinates, Table Lens and a 2D/3D projection. For each visualization node, the user may choose multiple visualization mechanisms so that the whole environment can benefit from multiple techniques at the same time.

To interact with the visualizations, simply right click over the scenes, the functions are self-explanatory.

Some hints:

• CTRL+click: add a selection (brush filter), except for star coordinates (use Link & Brush instead)
• SHIFT+click: remove a selection, except for star coordinates
• ALT+click: disable an axis (only for star coordinates)
• Right click and pick an option from the popup menu
• Pipelining: after defining a selection, choose "Pipeline" from the popup menu
